A College Experience for International Students
Mount Ida College’s ESL PLUS program helps prepare non-native speakers of English to compete successfully in the classroom, as well as to communicate effectively in social and professional situations. Dining Services is proud to be a part of your college experience.
Meal plans are designed to make your life easier. We offer everything from restaurant-style dining to a late night café', and are continuously creating new great tastes as they come along- traditional American cuisine, international fare, ethnic foods, special events, healthy lifestyle stations, as well as vegan and vegetarian options. As a part of our commitment to health and well ness we offer nutritional information on all of our menu items.

If you are an ESL student living on campus you are enrolled in the 19 All-You-Care-To-Eat Meals/week, plus $75 Declining Balance Dollars/semester.
If you are an ESL student commuting to campus you have the option to purchase a meal plan
What do I get with a meal plan?
1. Meal Block - Credit for a certain amount of all-you-care-to-eat meals at the Wingate Dining Hall. These meals are loaded on your student id, and can be used anytime till they’re gone. All unused meals expire at the end of the spring semester.
2. Declining Balance Dollars* (DBDs) these are loaded on your id too (they are like cash)
You can spend at the Carlson Café Snack Bar. You can add additional DBDs at any time throughout the school year to supplement your plan
Just pick the block plan that works best for you & your schedule. Meals do not reload weekly.
Meal Plan Declining Balance Dollars
Declining Balance plans of any value can be used at any location. You can add them to your existing meal plan or purchase points alone. Most students add an extra $100 - $200 in points.
What are the Terms & Conditions for Meal Plans and DB?
All funds and plans purchased for use in Mount Ida College Dining are for the personal use of the owner of the account or plan only and are non-transferable. Mount Ida College Dining funds and plans cannot be used as a gift card or gift certificate.
Except as otherwise expressly stated in these terms, all Mount Ida College Dining funds and plans are non-refundable and will expire at the earlier of the last day of enrollment or employment, as applicable, or the last day of the current semester.
Mount Ida College Dining Meal Plan points and add on Declining Balance Dining points funds are non-refundable.
Unused Mount Ida College Dining Meal Plan points and add on Declining Balance Dining points and balances expire on the last day of enrollment, employment of the semester.
